Worth knowing: Carnival does not allow swim diapers onboard their ships. Celebration Key is the complete opposite -- swim diapers are welcome in the family lagoon. If you are sailing Carnival with a diapered child, this destination changes everything.

Perfect Day at CocoCay Royal Caribbean Best for Babies + Toddlers

The most toddler-friendly private destination in cruising. Royal Caribbean specifically allows babies and toddlers in swim diapers in all pools and in the ocean -- a major departure from the onboard rules where diapered children are limited to Baby Splash areas.

Splashaway Bay -- dedicated family splash zone
Captain Jill's Galleon -- toddler-friendly water play
Oasis Lagoon -- swim diapers permitted
Beach access for diapered children
Castaway Cay Disney Excellent for Toddlers

Disney allows diapered children in designated splash zones onboard and the same applies at Castaway Cay. The Spring-a-Leak splash pad is designed specifically for younger children.

Spring-a-Leak -- toddler splash pad with water jets, bubblers, and misters
Soft water play features with shade nearby
Family beach -- diapered children welcome
Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point Disney Best Disney Destination for Toddlers

Disney's newest destination and arguably the best water play area Disney has built for young children. The Rush Out Gush Out Water Play area is a dedicated family splash zone.

Rush Out Gush Out -- interactive fountains, water drums, spray features
Family splash area designed for younger children
Water slides for older kids nearby
Celebration Key Carnival

Swim diapers are not allowed on Carnival ships. Celebration Key is the exception -- babies in swim diapers are welcome in the Starfish Lagoon. Carnival has publicly confirmed this and provides complimentary diapers at the destination.

If you are sailing Carnival with a diapered child, Celebration Key is dramatically more accommodating than anything available onboard.

Starfish Lagoon -- massive family lagoon, swim diapers permitted
Shallow entries and splash areas
Complimentary diapers available on site
Half Moon Cay Carnival / Holland America Beach Only

No pools, no splash pads. Diapered children can enjoy the beach with their parents but there is no dedicated water play facility. A beautiful beach day, but not a toddler water-play destination.

Beach access for diapered children
No dedicated splash pad or diaper-friendly pool
Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve MSC Beach Only

Eight natural beaches with open ocean and lagoon access. Swim diapers are a non-issue at a natural beach destination. North and South Beach offer shallow protected lagoon water -- ideal for small kids. No dedicated splash pad facility.

8 beaches including lagoon, ocean, and protected shallow water areas
North and South Beach -- shallow crystal-clear protected lagoon, ideal for toddlers
No dedicated swim-diaper splash pad facility
